Firm members have extensive experience advising and representing clients on Indian law and tribal law issues in tribal, state and federal courts. This experience ranges from advising clients on jurisdictional issues relating to tribal, state and federal courts and agencies, to handling Indian will probates under the American Indian Probate Reform Act known as AIPRA. Several MDS attorneys are licensed with the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribal Court, and are also eligible to practice on a per-occurrence basis in other tribal courts throughout Montana.
